In my last blog post, I was still struggling with the transition from Summer to Fall. Now it's the end of September and I'm finally ready for you, Fall! Thank you for making a last-minute appearance in the nick of time. The season of bright leaves, pumpkins and clear blue skies is sweet but oh-so-brief. Before we know it, it will be winter. Fashion-wise, at the beginning of the new season the first thing I do is take stock of what I already own. I've found there are two camps of people when it comes to Fall: There are those who eagerly await sweater weather, boots, pumpkin spice lattes, and decorating for Halloween. And then there are those who cling on to every last shred of Summer and have to be dragged kicking and screaming into Fall. I used to be in the first camp. Somewhere along the line, though, I'm not exactly sure when, I defected to the other camp. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Fall and all its pleasures...warm days and crisp nights, crackling leaves and the smell of fireplaces....

 Hi, it's me, back from vacation and raring to dive back into the coming season! I love helping our guests choose new clothes - whether it's a single special item, a whole ensemble, or even a wardrobe.  For as long as I can remember, I've loved clothing and dressing up. Through the years, and through all the body changes that I've gone through, one thing has stayed constant: I know what I like. I don't stick to one genre. I love feminine, edgy, classic, modern, patterns, solids, and textures. I don't abide by anybody's rules. I'm, ahem, vertically challenged (aka short)....

One sign that the world is slowly but surely returning to normal: Intrigue will be closed for vacation the first 2 weeks of July, as we have been every year for the past 10 years-- except last year. (We did not close last year because, well, we had literally just re-opened in June). This time off for us is so important, this year maybe more so than ever.
