Sustainability has been a HOT topic for years now. In every organization across the world, there are many strong efforts being placed towards adopting more sustainable practices. Using recycled materials, ditching plastics, utilizing reusable bags and repurposing are a few of the common ways to reduce our footprint on the earth.

It comes down to consciousness. Being aware of what you are doing, how you are spending and how you can curtail those habits to produce responsible results for the local footprint as well as your wallet.

At Intrigue, we like to consider ourselves very responsible. Responsible for growth and sustainability. We take our roles in the community very seriously. We align ourselves with local organizations such as a Woman’s Place & Travis Manion. We have a rack here, that we rotate throughout the year of Annette’s garments. These are beautiful pieces that Annette has worn maybe once, to big events/galas and charities. Being worn only once, we put them on the rack for “Sale” and all of the purchases go towards a local charity like the ones listed above. We feel good about this contribution, to not only the organization but to the repurposing of the articles of clothing, to other women in the area. It truly works for all involved.

We carry and are bringing in many sustainable lines for the Fall collection. Designers like Wolford, NAADAM and AS by DF to name a few, will be lining the store within the next month or so. These companies are committed to using sustainable, eco-friendly fabrics and ocean conservation. Traceable, renewable and recycled materials are used to create cashmere’s, wools and cottons. They promote ethical conditions for animals behind their raw materials.

Taken from the Wolford website, With each passing year civilization strains the resource limits of our planet further and excess waste piles up in landfills or is dumped in the ocean. Needless to say it is a very serious concern. Fashion has contributed more than its fair share to this dilemma, particularly through disposable ‘fast fashion’, giving the industry a reputation as especially harmful to the environment. But it does not have to be this way!

Fast Fashion is a huge concern now because of all of the cheap materials being used to create inexpensive fashion. Items of clothing made, shipped and worn for maybe one season, then thrown into a landfill by the next season and onto the next quick fix and cheap purchase. We look at our model here at Intrigue as, Investment Dressing. Making investments into your wardrobe of true, long lasting, style and design that is not only sustainable in materials but also classic.

Much thought goes into the purchasing of all of our garments. Debbie & Annette road trips and take great pride in buying and picking out the very best quality to bring back to our clients. We want to style you and above all else, maintain the A+, gold seal standard that we are so committed to.

Trends and styles come and go, and its natural to go wild and purchase something completely different or “on trend” for the season ahead. But the classic stapled pieces are always a good idea. We can’t tell you how good it feels, when a client of ours tells us, they’ve had a piece from our shop for a decade or more. And it’s still a staple in their wardrobe! That’s what we are about. Solid, classic, timeless pieces.

As always, we are here for you Bucks County. To dress you, and the generations before and behind you. We are family run and family focused. Come on in, we’ve got some exciting new looks to show you. And best of all, you can feel sustainable by doing so. Our local, Bucks County, Sophisticated Sustainable clients, we love you!

Much Love,
Annette & Debbie
